Editing player history problem

In my game I have been using the new edit player history function to add notes from the end of season news messages that don't automatically add such notes (the batting title winners and pitching triple crowns) and in doing so I noticed that from that date afterward all the player history entries are messed up. Each entry after the one I add appears on the same line.

Opening the player history txt file in a text editor that shows invisible characters shows that after each entry an "unknown" character appears (at least one the editor doesn't display) instead of the line break that ends all the other entries. Something else this shows is that all these new entries have a tab separating the date and the entry text where previously there was just a space.

I don't know if this is because I am doing something wrong when adding an entry (maybe I am not formating my entry correctly?) or if it is a real bug. Having just finished a season I did my new round of editing in an external editor to see if maybe it is just an issue with the in game history editor, but haven't simmed ahead to see if it has made a difference yet.

This is happening in the mac version 2.0.1.43, but also occured in the initial version.

Edit:
After doing some testing the above only happens when the history is edited using the in-game edit history. So the problem seems to be there.

Also I noticed that the use of tabs after the date changes when you use the in-game editor. If I open a history file that hasn't been manually edited in an external editor there will be a tab between the date and text, but once I go in and edit the history using the internal editor the tabs used in previous entries become spaces after I hit the save button. So that part might be coincidental.
