Jonathan Rowenhorst is a pitcher in the Angels' minor leagues. He's at AAA right now (http://www.slbees.com/PlayerProfile.cfm?RosterID=43). <TABLE cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 width="73%" border=0><TBODY><TR><TD><TABLE cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 width="73%" align=left border=0><TBODY><TR><TD width="24%" rowSpan=8>

What this game needs a Config.File then we could put for a future Transaction that on May the 6 2007 Roger Clemens will sign with the Yankees and so on.

If you go into your ootp folder and saved games and click on the current game you just exported your stats there will be a text document that says pitcher stats, fielder stats, or batting stats. Just click on whichever one you want to modify and from there it will have players listed in names with a long line of commas and numbers. from there just add in or delete what you want. Now, who can help me with getting coaches into the game? |

Anyone else running tests with this file and noticing that pitching is way too good and the hitters (especially SLG) is way down?
League averages for hitters and pitchers were near 1969 levels. The 2 WS teams had SLG averages in the .370 range. |

Career totals seem wrong. Each season seems to appear twice and then added together. Not sure if this is happening for every player. An example is this:
Clemens - Strikeouts: 1988 Boston - MLB 291 1988 Boston - MLB 291 1988 Boston - Total 582 Total for Career is 9004. I also noticed this for Sosa with HR's |

Cody- thanks for the heads up on Rouwenhorst!
I missed a couple of pitchers: tim worrell is retired brandon claussen and jason simontacchi are with the nationals One strange thing- if I search for 'Simontacchi' I find two of the guy, both free agents, different ratings, but in the free agent pool there's only one; same with Steve Andrade... I've looked at the ML depth charts for Anaheim through Florida, and there are a couple of guys on the wrong teams, mostly AAA players in real life: arizona: marland williams is with the reds atlanta: junior spivey was with the white sox in spring training, but i think he was released; tony batista is with the nationals baltimore: eddy garabito signed a minor league deal with the pirates, but he hasn't played this year, no idea why; dave newhan is a met boston: corky miller is with atlanta; dustan mohr is with tampa chicago cubs: bret boone and raul mondesi are out of baseball cincinatti: brandon watson is back with the nationals colorado: luis a gonzalez is in japan detroit: tony giarratano is injured for the year, i think; ryan ludwick is a cardinal florida: chris aguila is a pirate; luis terrero is with the white sox Cool, hope someone finds this useful, will try to look at the rest of the lineups soon. |

Runs are down 17.1% Hits are down 6.6% Doubles are down 28.4% Triples are up 61.8% Homeruns are down 30.9% Walks are down 8.8% Strikeouts are up 21.6% Stolen Bases are up 55.3% There's a good bit of tweaking that needs to go on to get these numbers lined up a little better. Give me a few hours and I'll see if I can come up with some more realistic modifiers for this file.

Okay, I've gotten so everything is within approximately 5%. I can't get the numbers exact as the totals change every time I simulate a year anyway, I'm assuming due to injuries, chance, etc. Anyway, changing the modifiers to these values should give you much more realistic numbers.
Set stealing to rarely. I'm still getting really high stolen bases, but changing this to very rarely will get very low number of stolen bases. Hits - 0.993 Doubles - 1.065 Triples - 0.682 Homeruns - 1.009 Walks - 1.145 Hit by pitch - 1.000 Strikeouts - 0.755

Those stats appear to be down because the roster has included Skydog's league total set up. It is supposed to be more like a league prior to 1998 when balls started flying over the fence like illegal immigrants.

amazing roster set, having a great time with them.
I too am having lower than usual hitting stats, with the initial setup I was getting only a couple of .300 hitters in each league -- sometimes only 1. I'm going to adjust the settings to what is posted above, sounds like you got it running pretty good.
