Well, I’ve finally decided to try and start my own little dynasty…after much deliberation, I thought that it would be more interesting if I made YOU involved—therefore, you’re going to be apart of it if you want (details below)…

LEAGUE BACKGROUND
Alright, I thought about making up a little story about the backround of the United States Baseball League, but I’m fresh out of ideas and right now I’m just worried about getting players signed up so I can start the league. League Background may come later…

Here’s the setup of the league:
2 subleagues, 2 divisions each, 5 teams per division

No DH for either league
No Minor Leagues
Scouting/Coaching – OFF
Random Talent Change – 10 (I did this so the players you create will more or less stay the same as far as talent goes…at times I’ve found the random talent changes throughout the game are somewhat high, and for the purposes of this dynasty it would be best if they were extremely low)
Injury Frequency – Average (Important because Injury Proneness is one of the ratings that you will need to choose, again see details below)
Strategies and Equivalencies—All set to default (1’s across the board)

I’ll be doing monthly reports for the league, including forum player’s stats. I’ve been tinkering around with Adobe Indesign so I might be doing the reports on that and then posting a pdf link. For right now I’m just going to see how many people are interested and then start fairly soon. For right now there is no limit to the number of players who sign up—also, if I start the league and you still want to sign up after I start, then I’ll probably allow players to sign up for the next year’s amateur draft.

Also, I’m not too familiar with outputting the entire history of the league to website form, but it’s something that I’d like to do, to make it easier for people to track their players’ career stats and whatnot. If anyone has advice for me to do this please PM me, but for right now my priority is just getting this league off the ground. But I do think that it would be a great feature if I can get it implemented.



PLAYER CREATION SIGNUP
Okay, here’s where you come in. After lots of tweaking, I think I’ve come up with a system that allows you to make a player who’s a very good player but not a dominant one (IF YOU HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS FOR CHANGES IN MY SETUP, LET ME KNOW).

I’m going to have every player start out at age 23 (all with 1-1-1984 birthdays), with all ratings and potential the same (reason being, I want players to have long careers without waiting for their player to develop). So, essentially, each player will start out in their peak.

First, fill out the form below…this is just basic background information, with no budgets or costs.

Okay, now the next step depends on whether you want to sign your player up as a batter or a pitcher. The next part is important and does require MATH, but it’s not too tough. All of the ratings you will choose will be between 1-20.
