hiring a new manager

I am using the demo version and can't seem ti figure out how to hire a new manager (I fired mine mid-season).
Is this option available in the demo?
why does it let my team continue playing with no manager?

Go to the 'Available Personnel' list (I think you can get there from your manager do-everything page.)
Select a view or filter that will enable you to just see managers and bench coaches, or click on the column that lists their hoped-for job and scroll down to managers and bench coaches.
When you find someone you like from either category (either one can act as either one), right-click on him to open a menu that should allow you to offer him a job.

If I didn't explain that well, please post back. I'm sure someone else can do a better job.

As for why the game allows you to play without one, many players do their own managing, and the bench coach can fill in as needed. There are probably other (and better) reasons, but I never stopped to think about them. That's a good question.

i dunno why i didn't think of the right click. i was looking for an 'Action' menu bar on the bottom of the page like there is for the players.
