I thought he wanted to play somewhere where he could contend.

Thats good b/c I bet the Yankees would go to the playoffs in a pool at work. Clemens has a better shot at going to the playoffs playing for the yanks than the Astros.

It's nice that we are finally having something to be excited about when it comes to the pitching staff. Wang's performance yesterday, and Clemens today, can't we just be happy?

Wow. This surprises me. I didn't think he'd end up back with the stripes.

What a tool. We all know being 5.5 games out on _MAY SIXTH_ puts you flat out of playoff or World Series contention..........??? I'm not a Yankee fan by any stretch. But it astounds me at the ignorance thrown around the Yankee franchise. From fans and non-fans. I'm sure you were one of the clowns talking about the demise of the Yanks last year in June when they were going really bad, too. How'd that end up for them? There's no way they could have ended up with the best record in the AL or anything.... right?

The Yankees are fine. It's just fun to root (rout?) against them.

They didn't need Clemens to make the playoffs. They need him to win in the playoffs.

I wonder if coming back earlier will jeopardize his chances of making it to the playoffs without breaking down.

Yea if I was an Astro fan I would be pissed at Clemens. If he was there from day 1 than the Stros would have went to the postseason last year.

Why would we need him in Boston? It would most likely mean sending one of Schilling, Beckett, Dice-K, Wakefield or Lester down to Pawtucket (assuming he wouldn't start until June)

At least the Yankees have space in the rotation for him.

If the Yankees keep losing and are still near last towards the all-star game, I bet Clemens goes away or starts to suffer injuries...

He wants to be the 'hero that saved New York'.
