What is this all about ??

I've never had this happen to me, but my guess would be either a Direct X problem. Or perhaps a problem with your video drivers.
Two questions: Do you have the latest version of Direct X 9.0 ?
Are you up to date with the latest video drivers for your Graphics card? If the answer is yes to both questions, then give as much info as you can about your system. Like OS, Pentium or Athlon
how much memory, Graphics card, Soundcard, Etc... Someone
here may be able to help you with the info you provide.
