If you search this forum, there are loads of threads with helpful hints about the GIMP, but if you want to learn, its best to ask specific questions rather than just 'How do I use it', or else we won't know where to start!

I like to toss the little buggers around. Maybe grab one by a leg and an arm and then twirl... oh... oops... you mean the graphics program GIMP. Yeah, what everybody else said.

I would imagine that, given the lack of specifics about what you're trying to do, the GIMP documentation might be a good place to start.
