Also another miss leading factor in the ratings of a fighter is you can have a fighter with 0 3pt punches rated a 5 give him 50 3pt punches and he is still a 5 so 3pt punches are not add up in the rating i have tried making all 100 3pt punches it still will not change his over all rating.

3 pt punches should be factored in when determining the overall rating but at this time isn't. It does make a difference.

That's not necessarily true. It is figured into the overall rating because 3pt. punches are tied to HP. If a guy has 5 HP he is supposed to have 13-15 3pt punches. If you move him up to 22 3pt punches then his HP should be moved up to 7 then his overall would move up.

That is what I have always understood based on the guidelines given. The 3pt punches are tied to hitting power (hp) so they are not factored into overall ratings. If you make the 3pt punches out of line with the hp factor, the fighter may perform better but the rating is not set up the way the Trunzos intended.

Look at Ali's 3pt punches. They are not tied to his HP rating. There are several other fighters with nice 3pt punches but ordinary HP.

There are a number of instances where the Trunzo ratings don't even follow their own guidelines or make sense for that matter. On the whole they are good, but even they have more than a few head-scratchers too.

* I believe that some fighters are issued more three point punches than their HP normally allow due to them being excellent boxers and win fights by piling up points. The only down fall is that the CF and PL ratings can also be used for this and that the extra points can lead to a stoppage win instead of a points win.

* Rating fighters is like making soup. You have to add a bunch of stuff and hope it works. It is pretty much all I do with the game at this point. I love all of the ratings issued by others. Hagler was very good but hasn't issued anything in a while.

* In total, I like the ratings in the game and I have changed very few. I think some of this era's heavyweights are overrated - I don't believe that current heavyweights work rate is very high. The talent in boxing in general is down. I've seen this in the amateur ranks for the last 15 years. I'm only speaking of the United States. Germany, Russia, former Russian States, and Cuba are kicking our ass.
