Game Crashes Every Time

Hello Everyone!

I have just purchased my copy of 2007 and have had a devil of a time. My game crashes anytime I try to look at a free agent, or if I try to move to the next day. I have researched the FAQ and the other threads with similar problems. I don't see anyone having this particular problem.

I thought it might be my antivirus/antispy software interfering, but it does it no matter if it is on or off. (I have Bellsouth Internet Security) I have tried closing any other applications and it still happens.

I also thought that it might be WOB1.5. I am really excited about this league and want to play it. I loaded up my solo league that I imported from 6.5 and have the same problem. It is really weird.

I am REALLY wanting to play this game and know that there is probably a reasonable explanation, I am just not computer savvy enough to figure this out. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!

i just noticed this post, it sounds like what's happening to you might be similar to my problem. i posted it as a separate thread just a few seconds ago.

Version: 2.0.1.43
PC/MAC: PC
What were you doing? Crashes at various times, more than once trying to look at/sign free agents, but happens when I try to advance to the next day after offering FAs. I am experienceing the same type of problem with another league that I imported from 6.5. I am also trying to run WOB1.5 and this happens there too!
What happened? While simming to the next day in either league, it crashes to desktop with the standard "send error" message. Status gets up to 100% loaded; stays there for 15 seconds; crashes some of the time.
Reproducible? Yes, most every time.
Problem occurs with other leagues? Every league I try.

I have disabled my anti-spy and anti-virus and tried to move forward with no luck.

I am getting frustrated because I LOVE OOTP and I want to play this new version, but it is unplayable to me in this state. I would REALLY appreciate any help I could get here!

*** I have deleted the 4 minor leagues in WOB1.5 that were discussed in another thread for having an uneven number of teams. Still crashing.

If you create a new league using the patched version of the game, do you still see any crashes when playing it out?

Which operating system are you using? What is your processor speed? How much memory do you have? How much hard drive space?

I am trying this tonight/tomorrow and I will post results.

OS = Windows XP
Memory = 28.6GB and I have 11.7GB free.

This computer is a rebuild and I have to get with him to answer processor speed and total HD.

I am not a great computer knowledge guy, if there is a way to find that info I could tell you more quickly.
