1915 Season

April-May

In Allsvenskan Jönköping has taken a small lead going 16-12 and are 2 games ahead fo Göteborg and Umeå, with Linköping 5 games back.

Malmö started out the season red-hot winning their 10 first game and 13 of their first 14, but then they hit a slump, and it's Stockholm that leads Elitserien at 19-9, 2 games ahead of Malmö, 7 of Uppsala and 10 of Örebro.

June:

Umeå has taken over the Allsvenskan lead, and are at 27-23, 2 games ahead of Jönköping, 4 of Göteborg and 6 of Linköping

In Elitserien Stockholm and Malmö continue to battle it out, Stockholm leads at 34-16, 3 games ahead of Malmö.

July:

Umeå has pulled away going 13-7 in the month and are at 40-30, 7 games ahead of Jönköping

Stockholm had a mediocre 9-11 month and Malmö has caught up with them and they are tied at 43-27 each, Uppsala is 9 games behind them.

August:

Umeå conntinue to run away, they are at 53-39 and are 10 games ahead of Linköping and 11 of Göteborg and Jönköping.

in Elitserien Stockholm has taken comand again with a 14-8 month and are 4 games ahead of Malmö at 57-35

September:

Umeå continued their dominance and in the end won Allsvenskan with 11 games over Jönköping at 65-47

Stockholm moved away from Malmö a bit more in the end and at 69-43 they won Elitserien by 6 games

Ehlinger was injured after 4.1 Innings just before the Stockholm explotion began with a 5 run 4th followed by a 3 run 5th.

The sentence at the hospital was very cruel, his career is over, but what a fairy tale it has been , drafted in the 13th round (of 15) in 1911, he make great progress and reach the majors at just 21 years of age, and makes the Championship Series where he allows just 1 run over 11.1 IP.

Game 7:
Series is tied at 3

Stockholm SP: J. Danielsson (0-1 4.50 ERA)

So finally a series that goes to 7 again.

Stockholm starts the game well by Niklas Freriksson hitting a solo shot in the bottom of the first to give Stockholm the 1-0 lead, which they follow up in the bottom of the second with a pair of RBI doubles from H. Johansson and O. Roozen to move to 3-0

In the botoom of the 3rd Stockholm scores on a passed ball to make it 4-0, Umeå comes back a bit in the top of the 4th with a 2 run double by Z. Stojsic to cut the leadt to 4-2

Stockholm coninues to score in every inning and with an RBI double they are now ahead 5-2, but a 2 run hiomer from Nils Mårtensson in the top of the 5th make it a 4-5 ball game.

The pitcher then take over the show untill the bottom of the 7th where Baeckström fills the bases with no outs before being relived, Stockholm scores on a sacrifise fly, but can't do more, but they have a 6-4 lead going into the eigth

But then A. Carlsson hits a two run homer of Morken to make the game tied at 6. But Stockholm can respond in the bottom of the 8th with a RBI double from K. Magnusson.

In to close the game comes B. Larsson, and with 3 outs Stockholm win this very exiting game 7-6

So does Stockholm have a huge market size compared to all the other cities? I wonder whether they could support two or even three teams!

Actually not, they only have average market size.

The games way of calculating market size is a bit weird, Stockholm with a population of 1,253,309 get average, while Uppsala with 127,734 get a very big market size.

1915 Tracked Players

1901 RF Ingemar Magnusson, 32 years, Linköping

Ingermar had a catastrophic year and was soone cut from the starting rotation. It seems the iunjury he suffered late last year might have left bigger marks than he hoped. He however have a contract with Linköping for the coming 4 years earning over 7.5 million per year, something I bet they regret now.

1903 CF Ruben Malmqvist, 33 years, no team

I think we have seen the left of Ruben, he got demoted to second diviision before the season, where he didn't make a complete fool of himslef, but didn't impress much either, and was released by Stockholm in August and unless he finds anotrher team I supose he will retire soon.

1905 CF José Carlos García (USA), 29 years, no team

José had a great season, but then with just a few games left in the regular season on a team heading into the Championship Series, he suffered a career ending injury.

Nah, it's good the way it is. I guess it's somewaht realistic in the sence that it's less to compete with in smaller cities. So it's not totaly unrealsitic that Baseball would be a larger sport inUppsala than in Stockholm. Altough it is unrealistic that a city like Umeå can support a team with a 75 million dollar budget, but that's just becouse I can't be bothered to adjust the finances to be more realistic.

Malmö started out the season red-hot winning their 10 first game and 13 of their first 14, but then they hit a slump, and it's Stockholm that leads Elitserien at 19-9, 2 games ahead of Malmö, 7 of Uppsala and 10 of Örebro. June: Umeå has taken over the Allsvenskan lead, and are at 27-23, 2 games ahead of Jönköping, 4 of Göteborg and 6 of Linköping In Elitserien Stockholm and Malmö continue to battle it out, Stockholm leads at 34-16, 3 games ahead of Malmö. July: Umeå has pulled away going 13-7 in the month and are at 40-30, 7 games ahead of Jönköping Stockholm had a mediocre 9-11 month and Malmö has caught up with them and they are tied at 43-27 each, Uppsala is 9 games behind them.
