Scroll Bars on Player Screens
I think this may have been mentioned before, but I would really like to see the option of forcing scroll bars to be used on all pages, regardless of how many players would be shown. I know that it slows performance, but that's why it should be an option. Either that, or there should be away to where if the "Open Report" or "Write Report To Disk" functions are used, it prints more than just the selected page. Otherwise, there is no (at least simple) way to view all players on one report. The purpose I use this for is to do some stat analysis in Excel and it takes forever to load a league of only 1382 players because they are spread out over 48 pages (real example). Now, I know I could use the CSV dump, but then I have to rebuild everything using database queries and make sure I'm pulling from all the right tables, just to see what I'm looking for when the easy fix is just to allow scroll bars on all screens. The funny thing is that this wasn't an issue with 2006 and I was fine waiting an extra 2 or 3 seconds for the full page to load. I think it should really be an option in the next patch.

Unless I'm missing something, it's already an option in the preferences area.

It's an option that doesn't really work. The game overrides your scroll bar selection if there are too many (don't know the exact number, but it is less than 1390) players.

I'm very sorry for the delay in responding to this issue. I have logged this as TT #3479. Hopefully Markus can take a look to see if there's a problem with this preference setting, or whether there's an explanation.
Thanks, Steve |

Sorry, but the system does not allow more than 1000 players in a list with scrollbars
No way to change this...

Well, that's unfortunate, but I suppose it's a definitive answer.
For now I'll move this issue to the Closed forum. PM me if you need to discuss further. Thanks, Steve |
