Draft composition
Sorry if already noted...
The composition of players in the initial draft don't seem to respond to factors they should respond to. I have fictional league starting in 1901. I create it using the "advanced" method. I use the automatic strategy/stats settings for that year and no ghost players. Have 20 player limit in top league. Because of the strat settings I have 4 starting pitchers who most often complete the game and rare use of relievers. So in this league you don't need many SPs and certainly not many MRs. But in the initial draft a huge number of SPs and MRs appear (and many of the MRs are highly rated). After the draft minor league teams have so many SPs/MRs that they don't have enough position players. Happens in both patched and unpatched version. Last edited by BPS; 04-11-2007 at 06:03 PM. |
