most amount of years simmed

What's the longest you've ever simmed a league? In OOTP 2006 I had a league based off of the National Hockey League. I started it in 1901 and simmed all the way until 2155 until the game crashed. At the end, the teams with the most championships were the Hartford Whalers (28), Montreal Canadiens (26) and New York Rangers (22).

I remember doing 200 or so in beta testing, but that was with a small league - 16 teams, no minors.

The funny part about my league was that the Chicago Blackhawks dominated from 1901-1955, winning 18 championships. But they didn't win again until 2084. And I remember that the Ottawa Senators and New York Islanders had dominated from about 2040-2080, winning 27 championships between them.

I was so disappointed when that league crashed, because I had built up a great history. I started the league with the six orginal franchises, then expanded accordingly, all the way up to 36 total teams. I just had one big division and the top two played for the Stanley Cup at the end.

I'm wondering if anyone has done like 1000 seasons. It would be cool to see how many championships the best team won. (Maybe 100?)

Just like the real blackhawks......the only good thing opposing teams have to say about the hawks is that they were one of the original 6 (hockey of course)

Talking

I made a fictional 10 team league starting in 2007 and decided to sim a little history while I went out for a few hours. I ended up being gone about 20 hours and when i came back it was 2189 and still simming. This is a little too much league history in my opinion..

I simmed out 145 years in OOTP 4, thats the farthest I have got. I imagine I will go farther in this version.

I was actually just about to post a question related to this topic. For those of you who have simmed 20 or more seasons with OOTP 2007, how does it hold up? Do the stats stay pretty realistic and varied? Or do all the players end up getting gradually closer to average?

I haven't bought 2007 yet, but with older versions I used to play leagues 20+ years and would often notice the players bunching up in the middle more as time went on.
