WHAT!!!! Mid summer??????? By then puberty, growth spurts and girls will render these very unaccurate. I guess I am done too.

These guys that bitch and moan about roster mods. I wonder if they have any clue what so ever about the amount of time and effort that goes into such a task. I mean the game has been out for how long,a month.

No, they're too busy saving up the energy to bitch and moan about the roster mods once they actually do come out and how "imperfect" they are.

I don't understand the obsession with current roster mods. Too much of it is guess work. How can they accurately predict how some of the younger kids are going to do? If they were that good, they would be gm's. People say that they cannot get into fictional, but after a few seasons that is what real rosters are anyway.

People make the online league argument, but that is why I got out of my leagues. The rosters are too unstable, for the most part. For online go straight fictional or historical.

That being said, when they come out, Ill mess around with them. Quick simming seeing if I can turn the M's around.

I've always prefered historical leagues, but I really think fictional is a blast also. And I really think the game thrives on the fictional setup. But in 2007 the historical aspect is the best yet by far.

Hmmmm, only 2.2 million? That's a pretty shallow draft pool. Might have to send a scout into Canada.

Anyhow...I remember the good ol' days when people just had to make 25 man Major League rosters. Now we're practically down to tee-ball leagues, and people want them accurate. (HEY! The 4th starter on the A-league team is 6'2", not 6'1"!!!) Okay, maybe I exaggerated a bit there...but you all know what I mean.
Well, that's what frustrates me - I don't want T-ball rosters, college feeder leagues or foreign winter leagues.

Accurate team names for MLB/AAA/AA/A and accurate 40 man MLB rosters would be plenty to get me going. Who cares about making sure every player in A ball is accurate when 90% of them are never going to see the majors anyway? And every "real" 2007 MLB league will start the inevitable change to fictional with the June draft anyway.

Fortunately the OP greatly exaggerates the effort it takes to create a historical league, so I've got my division-leading 1970 Royals to keep me occupied until the MLB roster set is finally released.

I actually always did historical, only doing a bit of fictional. I might try to mix the two here soon. Not the same leagues, but to run side by side. And to make it work so the fake league has low financials, but can sign free agents from the other league, while the MLB cannot. Hopefully so old/not so talented MLB'ers can defect.

All too true. "Hey, they left out Jose Villasenor, and he's the third best second baseman in the Gulf Coast League! These rosters suxxor!"

Beleive it or not , I have already been checking out a plan to do the exact same thing you mentioned. I made a side by side fictional league with financials set at 1/3 the major league set up. I call it the world league and have it set up for 50 percent foreign.

Based on it's somebody's alias and he felt like throwing a stink bomb to see what would happen.

It is more fun to post a peacefule coup, or hijack the thread.

If he feels that he can not handle or set up the universe, then that is his choice. The lack of real world rosters are an issue, so be it! But please post your comments in a positive way that will help the developers are help you with the issue.
