League Expansion Question

Here is my situation. I just started an historical replay in 1876 with a one league eight team structure that was in place at that time. However, now I'm getting ready to start the 1882 season when the American Association came into play and am wanting to add another LEAGUE to my replay. Is this possible? As far as I can tell on the options presented, you are only able to add divisions. If this isn't possible, does anyone have a possible work around where I could still use the players stats that have accumulated in my replay since it's beginning? Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me out with this.

I don't think you can add a league.

Ok. I've given up on being able to add a separate league. Is there a way to start a new league from scratch, with 2 separate leagues within, and then import my players with their simulated stats intact into this new league? Thanks.

You may want to look at the thread here: http://www.400softwarestudios.com/bo...5&pagenumber=2

It was started by someone else who was doing a historical league from 1871 in OOTP4. The thread contains some useful tips and suggestions, and on the 2nd page of the thread, on the 12th post down from the top, it describes a way of handling the expansion from one league to two. You may want to try testing this procedure in OOTP5 to see if it works.

Let us know if the workaround still funtions.

Thanks for the suggestion on the work around. Unfortunately, I couldn't get it to work as it kept saying that the players.dat file was invalid and the game would crash to the desktop. Oh well. Thankfully, I was only five seasons into my sim project.......I'll now restart with two separate leagues from the beginning.
