Hello all,
I'm a long time (since OOTP 4) OOTP player, and recently decided to pick up 2007. I'm starting up my first new league since version 4 (I've carried them over for quite some time now), and I've run into a bump when it comes to setting up the ballparks. I have all the logos and everything done, however when I load the ballparks in I can't seem to align the players on the field with the actual spots on the field. Let me explain... ~ I go into the Ballpark edit area in game ~ I see the correct image (camdem yards d and camden yards n) listed ~ The actual area of the field is so small, that I have to squish everybody down, and even then my center feilder is in the bleachers. I remember a ballpark set where the players were listed by position on the side, as apposed to on the field. Plus the photopack would come with a settings file that would automatically align them to the correct spot on the jpg. I'm having trouble finding this photopack... Does anybody follow what I'm saying? Does anybody remember that specific photopack? Does anybody know where I can find it? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Not sure if these are what you are looking for, but the file is about 1/2 way down and named H Special Ballparks.zip
http://65.78.148.37/ootp/Stadiums/ Here is an example of one. I don't think there are any MLB stadiums in this pack. http://i163.photobucket.com/albums/t...uggo523/02.jpg Hope you find what you are looking for. |

I believe you are thinking of this set: Soxmans Stadiums http://65.78.148.37/ootp/Stadiums/So...20Stadiums.zip There was also a set of park dats that went with it upto 2003 season. I shrunk the park down to fit within the upload limits, but all parks are 640X480. Last edited by SandMan; 06-12-2007 at 05:55 PM. |

Here's something I did a few years ago. I call it the "Glass" ballpark.
![]() The ballpark in this picture is a proposed design for Washington, D.C. The new Nationals stadium in 2008 will not look like this. I think there's enough space to get all the players in without the center fielder being in the bleachers. It's a Photoshop file where the translucent field layer sits on top of whatever picture you can find. - You won't need the ideal behind home plate shot, if you can't find one. Good for non-major league stadiums or major league parks before 1920 for which a home plate view might be difficult. - If you're using a fictional league, you can use the entrance gates, seating area, or distant aerial shot of a football or a soccer stadium in the background to represent a fictional stadium. - Use the skyline or local landmark instead of a ballpark. This is especially good for international cities that don't have big baseball stadiums in real life. - If you're playing in the past, use an appropriate period scene. - Put anything else in that background - Scarlett Johansson, Homer Simpson, whatever floats you're boat. The Photoshop file can be found here. |
