Bug with Historical Fictional Still not fixed with patch..

This thread here was the original I posted about.

I've applied the patch, same thing occurs. I sim up to 1940, and Home Run totals have plummeted for the league. The AL has 27, the NL has 27. For the year.

I'm pretty certain that this shot below has something to do with it...

Could I get someone to see if this happens to them on their machine, so I know if it's something with my PC, and reply here?

I've simplified what I'm doing.

1) create a historical league, no minors
2) don't import historical rookies
3) check or uncheck historical recalc, doesn't matter, except for SB totals.
4) sim until 1940, check your league HR totals and modifiers.

This makes it impossible to do a historical league with all fictional players.

Dola,

on playing around with just a 1901 ML format fictional league (2 leagues, 1 division, 8 teams each), with the adjusting league modifiers/player creation modifiers checked, the problem does not occur. It's only when using the 'historical league' option at the start.

TT 2983 is open/regressed and sent back to Markus who had claimed it was fixed in the patch.

The problem is the homeruns modifiers number. How did that incredibly high value get in there? It's no wonder the guys aren't hitting any homeruns.

Clearly. That's why I'd asked elsewhere where those numbers were being pulled from. That number will get bigger, and bigger where it will crash the game if you go to that tab.

I also noticed, those are the 1901 League totals on the left hand side. In the just straight fictional I tried, the 1940 stats showed up in that column (in 1940, of course).

I think that anyone who managed two or more homers in the face of that modifier should receive an 'Against All Odds' trophy.

You need to apply the default league totals when playing the game this way since it is no longer a historical league when filling with fictional players. The 1901 totals screw things up.

I'm not sure I know what you mean by applying default league totals. If the game is created as a historical league and all of the historic modifiers are left on life normal default, why wouldn't the game progress through the years, eras and historic import functions?

The game doesn't know that the real players are gone and fictional players have replaced them.

Are you saying that we need to manually adjust the year that the settings are based on?

I haven't been able to get this to work and open/regressed the TT where you said the homerun modifier problem was fixed, TT 2983.

Where/how do I do this? Is it something I have to do at the end of each year?
