Runtime Error

Hey guys, game is great but I've hit a wall...

I'm in the fourth year of a season and now everytime I make a selection within the game (i.e.- selecting a team to view), I get a pop-up box that says:

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library

Runtime Error!
Program C:\program files\ootp5\ootp5.exe
This application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more info.

I've got a Pentium 4, HP Pavilion
1.5 Ghz Processor
128 MB/ram

Any advice, suggestions or fixes???
