first 30 mins???

Quote:
To get people to fully understand what the game is about you MUST let them play the game for a full year.

This is where I disagree. People rightly or wrongly make an informed decision within the first 30 mins of playing a game. Giving them more playing time isn't going to necessarily up the conversion rate.

I do not know what you base that statement on, but as I have already stated 'the full year demo" convinced me to purchase Baseball Mogul and the "scant" demo of OOTP did not give me enough feel for the game.

Doesnt matter what, just lay it on the line here.

If you have purchased and you enjoy it, have you managed to spread the word or convince a fellow family member to try it out?
Easy answer...I cannot post on your SI Games forum, as I use a yahoo email address. To BLANKET-BAN customers is not a real good business decision.

I have my work email, and I have a yahoo email. I choose not to use a work email....against my companies policy, and I risk termination if I do.

I have purchased MANY products over the years, and have recommended this game to many...with other purchases resulting.

As long as you continue to disrespect me, why should I provide you with my money for your games?

Note: I still play OOTP regularly, an older variant, as well as CM4.

This isn't personal, I am not angry in any way...SI have made their decision, and so have I.

No offense, dsvitak, but that's a really dumb reason not to get the game. Just get a different email acount.

Five thousand thanks for a non-modder? I never thought I'd see the day. Thank you for your support.

How? My isp provider doesn't provide one, and yahoo accounts are banned.

I can probably get a g-mail account, but to go through the bother, JUST to be able to post on the SI games forum is a bit much.

.....and all I wanted to do was to read the forums, and learn a little bit more about the game, and to increase my enjoyment. This was for CM4, now quite awhile ago.

At this point, it is purely my little protest at SI Games, and their policies.

Sure, they won't miss the money....sure, my 2-3 games purchases won't matter one whit to them. It is the principle.

And, to make matters worse, now I stand a legitimate chance of getting whacked from this board.

I will say this about the game, I am finding some things that I don't like, but for each thing I don't like I find about 3 that I do. I still haven't purchased yet, but unless I find something I hate in the last few days of the demo, I will be getting it if/when I finish the current job I am on. (By the end of next week I hope!)

Yeah, they did a lot of deep thinking and came up with their board policy to disrespect you, right.

I like their policy as it discourages aliases\trolls and all the spamming and problems that come with them. I wish this board would do the same.

My reason: Time. I have the wife, two kids, one is 5 months old, the management job which can be long hours, and my freelance. Then add my sim racing addiction and my involvement in my FOF league, well... not much time left after that. I've played the demo and it looks awesome, I've bought OOTP 4, 5, 6. In my single free time days I would and could play all day long, but now... I would have to give up my other free time enjoyments to do that, and OOTP 2007 just appears to be too complex (which is awesome) for the time I have. So for me OOTP 6.5 it is. Congrats on the great game.

Like I said, removed a long time ago. Since we have a very busy board we were getting spammed for a long time so we removed the signups of freebie accounts.

WE've since reverted back to normal

My demo still had some legs, but I'm beyond the point of being completely sold on this game. I just got my reciept! Thanks to Markus and SI, it's worth every penny.
