Trying to play out my first game it took several minutes to discover where to actually play out the game. There wasnt a link on the team schedule page. And it was a little confusing on the league schedule; manage/quick sim might be better expressed at play out/sim.

Here's a very simple suggestion for a change that needs to be made...
There are 2 league history links. One is on the drop down league menu, the other on the right side of the bar at the top of the league home page. First, as I mentioned above, I don't get why there are two separate links to get to the same page, so I think that should be changed. But - even if you leave both links...how about they link to the same history page? The history page linked from the league home screen does not have a bar at the top that lists champions (and more importantly) Hall of Famers, Retired Players, and Retired and Active Players. The history page linked from the drop-down menu does. I spent a considerable amount of time trying to figure out where I saw the list of HoF and Retired Players until I discovered (a) the two separate links to the history screen, and (b) that they provided different information. Insanity! If you're going to have two separate links, at least have them link to one page that contains all of the league history information we need. |

But you're right. Most of the time you're hitting the right-click, it's with the intention to return to the roster screen from which you began.

In one-pitch PBP mode, to go from one play result to another:
1. Choose an option and see the result. 2. Click to continue. 3. Choose an option and see the result. Whether click #2 is necessary should be a user option: delay=x seconds. |

Fidel, I wish I could chime in here, I really do. But I have to say I like the UI just the way it is. It has taken some time to get comfortable with it, but I can navigate to where ever I need to go with no problem.

Couple other issues that need to be cleared up.
There should be arrows allowing us to scroll between players on all player cards. Too often this is inconsistent. Case in point - from the transactions screen and the trade screen, when you click on a player, there are no arrows to scroll through players like there are on the roster/FA screens. I don't see the difference, and it's a pain to have to keep backing out to get to the next player. Also, there are a few screens like this, IIRC, but on the shop player feature, it is annoying that the screen keeps defaulting back to the top of the page after you check on someone lower in the list. It would be nice if it came back to where you left when you clicked on the player you wanted to look at. |

Here's another minor thing... But they start to add up after awhile.
When I replace a C w/ a C on the lineups & depth charts screen the position shouldn't go blank it should default to C. If the lineup is blank and you drag and drop a SS he should be a SS right? Instead it's just blank instead of defaulting to his primary position. Last edited by CaLíKrAzY; 04-12-2007 at 06:31 PM. |

This is for after the game has finished only:
I'd like a 'leave game now' button on the 'SION Broadcast' tab. Sometimes I'll go to look at this page after I've finished looking at the box scores/game log. It's sort of annoying to have to return to return to a previous page to finish my game. |

I would like to see the lineup screen to go back to the way it was in 2006 when you could see the stats of each player listed next to them in the lineup order.

Actually that's kind of the reason I'm only at the draft 2 months in. It makes it very tough to mess around w/ your lineups quickly so you can move on. Also, I'm playing w/ the dh in both leagues and everytime I hit the lineups screen it takes me to the screen w/out the dh. |

I knew I was recalling my experience correctly, but since I didn't have the game in front of me, and you're right about the black dropdown on this particular screen that allows us to select one of many reports right from that screen, I just chalked it up to my confusion. But I could swear that wasn't on the screen I saw. And it turns out that I've found yet another maddening inconsistency with the way this game works. Just like the league history issue I posted about above where you end up at seemingly the same page from two different links, except you get two pages that appear to be the same, but give you slightly different information. You're right about the stats links from the manager home page. Now I want you to try the same thing from the team home page. There are the same (or seemingly the same) batting/pitching/fielding stat links on the right side of your team page. Now click on one of them. Tell me whether you see the black dropdown "select report" option. It's not there, is it? It's stuff like this that makes this game hard to play. How could you have two separate links that appear to go to the same page, yet have those pages contain different information? How are these links just not linked to the same page - why even go through the hassle of creating a different page for each link? Just like the league history issue. If you don't go to the right one - and they both look the same, so it's just by trial and error that you'll find the one you're looking for - you can't easily find the information you want. And what's worse, is that you know you saw it on a screen that looks just like the one you're on!!! It's frustrating beyond words. Anyway, my point was...this is the screen I was referring to. And I hope you can see the problem and my frustration. Last edited by Ksyrup; 04-13-2007 at 09:23 AM. |

No chance. This was changed from 2006 because of the demand by the players of 2006 who hated the way it worked then. I'm thinking it would take an awful lot to convince Markus to change course a second time. |

Sorry I didn't see your post until this morning, but you are correct. I think I know why its this way. I think it has to do with the links on the home page being for on-line leagues that have websites they are posting the html pages to. Still doesn't make it right or sane though

And that, in a nutshell, is why the UI is so problematic. There shouldn't be different pages within the game itself trhat differentiate between SP and MP, with different uses for each. If it's in the game and I'm being directed to is as SP, then the pages should be consistent with each other. MP reports are one thing; integrated pages within the game that seemingly link to the same information but gives differing information/looks/other links, is just poor decision-making, IMO.

Maybe the wrong thread for this, but is there a way to change the strategies for all innings/situations at once?
