getting started
So I was out and about looking for a game just like this and I think I am going to give it a try. Anyway, what I wanted to do is be able to start a league back from 1901 with all the real teams and players. I've read around about databases for this type stuff but I was looking for a FAQ or document that could walk you step by step on this with pouring thru a manual to try it. Anything available like this or is the manual the best step.
Sorry if this has been asked, I will review the boards some more to see what I can find. But I think if this hasn't been made it would be a great idea to make it. Also, can I do a league were like I have the real players, but I can draft them as they come along, like I could draft Mantle to the Cubs if I want? Just curious to see if that works. Thanks for your help!!! |

This is a great walk through done by Rasnell in the Historical section of the board. This is possible. You just need to make sure you have the draft enabled.

You could also try Redsox45's template for your historical league.
http://web.mac.com/sixwilsons/iWeb/O...Templates.html Its got a readme included and if you find yourself having a few problems you could try his thread too. http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...d.php?t=143015 I'm just playing around at the moment trying to get the feel for the game. Looking good so far.
