same batter batting in an inning

This puzzles me. I had this happen to me (sort of) in ootp2006, but it was scheduling problem where I add the same team for two games on the same day.

This happen in oopt2007. Bottom of the first inning. I play on pitch by pitch mode. My leadoff batter makes an out. Pressing the enter key to clear the pbp and get options for the next batter works, but it is the same batter. After the first inning is over, my leadoff batter is now 0 for 3 in the game. I have tried quick playing half innings and that seems to work, but that is not my preferrence. Are there some files messed up?
What files or options or set-up should i be checking?
Please help!!! I really, really love this version, and i have played about a dozen games without any problems so any help would be great!

ps this is the first round, game two of the playoffs
