Minor League Managers not using players

Minor league managers sometimes completely ignore players on the roster, even if they are the best prospects on the team.

Example: I am playing with ghost players on to allow incomplete minor league teams. I also have Minor league managers in control of the lineups/rotations. I currently have four SP's on my A ball team. As of June 1, they all have zero innings pitched. This is just one example, I've seen this issue repeatedly.

Currently I haven't even played the game in over a week because this bug bothers me too much - I don't like to micromanage the minor leagues, I really want the game to automatically take care of the lineups and such. However, some of my best prospects are not getting any playing time at all.

When you say the best, what do you mean? Do they have the best ratings or just best potential? If it is just potential at this point, then it wouldn't make sense for the minor league managers to use the players.

There are only four starting pitchers on the team, there is no reason why they shouldn't be used in this scenario. Regardless, it's not just potential, as I've even seen these players eventually become "Ready for AA" even though they're getting little or no playing time!

Well, I have the rotation/lineups under the control of my minor league managers. But when I look at the rotation, it doesn't show anyone in it at all.

Do you see this behavior with ghost players off? Do your minor league teams never have rotations set? That doesn't seem right.

Do you have coaches on?
