Start-up Screen Goes to White

Ever since I installed the patch when I go to start the game the picture of The Ballpark at Alrington shows up with the clock for a few seconds and then the screen just goes white for the remainder of the time that the game loads up. Once it finishes loading I see the menu screen just fine.

Hmmm. Sounds strange, but could you see if any other issues arise? If not, this may not affect game play at all, if it does, or if you're uncomfortable with this, uninstall the game, re install, then install the patch again and see if that clears it up.

Aha! I noticed the white screen when I open my web browser at the same time OOTP is loading. Toggling between the loading screen and my browser shows a white screen as you say but it's really nothing to worry about.

It doesn't seem to have affected gameplay at all. It's really just a minor annoyance that the picture disappears and all I see is a blank white screen.
