Install issue
I'm trying to install this on my laptop and it seems the program is trying to install to my corporate network drive. when i am offline the program alerts me that OOTP can't access the drive and the gives the path.
The download was saved to my C: desktop. Any suggestions? Last edited by SeattleCane; 04-04-2007 at 08:58 PM. |

There are 3 places that OOTP saves files. In the Program Files folder, the My Documents folder, and... can't think of the third place off hand.
Since this is a work computer, I wonder if they have your My Documents folder being saved on the corporate servers? That could be what's causing the problem. If that's the case, I'm not sure how to fix it. Maybe someone else with more knowledge on setting up the folders differently could chime in. There may be no fix for it, though, if this is a corporate computer depending on what permissions they have setup and such.

You could install it when you're connected to the network, and then move the OOTP folder to your local drive as described here:
http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...d.php?t=142326 http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...d.php?t=143247 Or install OOTP on another computer, copy the My Documents/SI.../OOTP... folder to for example c:\ootp2007 on the laptop, and change the OOTP user path on the laptop as described above. Good luck! Last edited by Andreas Raht; 04-05-2007 at 04:32 AM. |

We have a rule in Tech Support that says that requests that have gone more than 3 days awaiting a response from the customer will be closed. This thread fits that bill, so I'm going to go ahead and marked this issue as "closed."
If you disagree, please let us know, it's no problem to re-open this. It's an administrative thing we do to try to ensure that only active issues are being researched. Thanks very much! Steve |
