Schedule-related Crash when adding independant leagues
When you create a league and add an independent league the game will allow you to specify how many games each team plays even if that number of games is not possible to schedule. In these cases the game will crash after you press "start game". I'm about 99% sure these crashes are related to generating an impossible schedule, as I have been able to add independent leagues only through trial and error in selecting the number of games.

Killebrew, what alignments are you trying to schedule for? What numbers of games are you trying? (Don't use an odd number of games, i.e. 161 games or 81 games, those aren't supported.) When are you trying to add these new leagues? Is it during the first time you are seting up a league using the League Creation Wizard? Or is it after you've created your initial league?

This happened immediately after creating my initial new league, I don't think you can actually add indie leagues until after you have created and started league #1 (at least not with the wizard). Here are the steps to recreate a crash:

1. Create league #1 (I unchecked all the minor leagues, doubt that has anything to do with this though).
2. Add indie league via GAME --> GAME SETUP --> LEAGUE SETUP tab --> ADD LEAGUE button. Select create fictional league from wizard, run through the options ... 1 sub league, 1 division, 8 teams, unchecked all the minor leagues, 14 game schedule, 1 game series.
3. Continue with 'next' buttons until crash.

I think the one thing that my crashes had in common was selecting 1 or 2 game series, I don't recall it crashing when keeping that at the default 3 game series. I tried several reasonable (all even numbered) combinations with the same result. Finally I settled on some safe settings that worked just to get the league created, then I edited the schedule from the games 'edit schedule' function. That function will tell you whether the schedule you set will work or not, along with suggestions like "uncheck balanced schedule", etc..

To summarize for Markus et al:
- Crash occurs after pressing the "create league" wizard button when adding an independent league to an existing league (it's also possible that it might crash on creating the initial league, that has not happened to me though).
- I believe the crash is related to the number of games scheduled and a series length of 1-2 games. Maybe the checked "create balanced schedule" also has an impact.
- All of my test crashes have occurred when inputting < 100 games per team, but I'm not sure if a shorter season is part of the problem.
