Did someone call for a doctor?

I was wondering if this was just a fluke in my league.

Started a historical league using Lahman 5.4 in 1970 and mostly defaults. I created AAA, AA, and A minor league levels (16 teams per level). I had my general manager character assigned as Baltimore's GM.

It was January 1st, I went to check my team staff, and there was no one there but me (the general manager). So I went to go hire some coaches and scouts, but the ones that were available were pretty mediocre. And when I went to look for doctors, there wasn't a single one to hire.

So I'm wondering what happened? Did all the minor league teams hire up all the doctors and all the good coaches and scouts before I had a chance to hire staff for my team? How can I generate some more coaches, scouts, and doctors so that I don't have to go the full season without a doctor? Is this a bug, or am I not following the correct procedure here?

There was/is a bug with the way coaches/scouts/doctors are created. Will be/should be fixed with the first patch.

In the meantime, I'll look into the game and see if I can generate some doctors or something - so I don't necessarily have to start over after the patch.
