Error message when simming and a news story about a player injury is generated.

Sample message:

add_line_to_txt_file - could not open target file for writing: team_96_injuries.txt

The number in the file changes, I assume because it relates to the team to which the injured player belongs.

I can sometimes skip past one message and continue simming, but when this error occurs every time someone gets injured, the game obviously becomes unplayable. Sometimes I get the same message but I can't skip past it.

It occurs in a historical game with Lahman imports and three levels of minors with ghost players enabled that I started from 1901 and it starts occuring in the 1970 season. I exited the game and retiried it and it still occured. Then restarted my computer and it still occured.

Is this a memory problem possibly? I am running the game on my laptop which has only 1.8ghz and 512mb ram. Windows XP operating system.

Known issue and it's been TTed multiple times.

They are trying to take care of a lot of the crash/stop issues in the first patch if they can find the problems.
