Question about the demo - can't sim past Aug 1st

Is there a reason why I can't sim past August 1st in the demo?

I thought it was a three-week trial of the full version - so if it is, why can't I get past August 1st?

There's no waiver draft, no trade deadline, no draft of any kind, roster expansion has occurred and my roster is full, there are no special messages - it just won't let me sim past the date.

It's not just me, either, my friend is having the same problem.

We're both running our own 16-team created leagues - mine with 90ish games, his with a full 162 game schedule. Could that be a reason?

Can anyone help? I want to play more of this game but this is really sapping my enjoyment!!!

The argument has been made several times and shot down each one of them. The game is great, from the season sim to the off season... but the demo does nothing for someone who has interest in how the off season works.

That's quite a sad state for a game that works the off season so well... but what can be done by "us" has been in that regard.
