3234 - Signed free agents go to AAA
Not really sure about this, but I noticed in my historical league that free agents being signed were placed in AAA, even with major league contracts. I have options and all the goodies on, but for some reason this seems like a loophole. I remember this was changed in v6.5 to place signed FAs in the DFA area. Can anyone else confirm this?

IRL players do get signed to major league deals and then get sent to the minors if they have options left.

The game just dumped all signed FAs into the minors. If they have options left, I want to decide whether to burn one right away, rather than having the game force me to. Also, it's a loophole and should be fixed I hope.

So, in your opinion the ideal place for all signed players should be on DFA then? Right?
That is where I would prefer to have everything go myself (signed players to major lg deals, signed players to minor league deals, draft picks, rule 5 picks). That way I can pick where guys go - within the lg rules of course.

All correct
I would expect that all signed FAs go to DFA, just like 6.5 (except the ones with MLCs, I could care less really since they don't need to pass through waivers anyway). But for certain, the game should not be putting guys making money into AAA burning an option or putting somebody there who should otherwise need to clear waivers.

Anyway this "easy" fix can be added to the patch?

Feature request logged as TT#3234 Option to have signed players (major + minor lg deals) go on DFA rather than rosters directly

TT3196 is similar. Players traded for automatically go to AAA as well. 3196 asks that they go to DFA.
