Question Uploading report to my website using FrontPage -

Anyone give me advice on how to upload the generated report using FrontPage? Or using the in game "upload report to FTP server"? How does the "upload report to FTP server" work?

Thanks in advance for your help...

okay first off, do you have a FTP program? if not i would suggest getting one just in case...but yeah you can use the in game one also.

2ndly, do you have a web site(aka server) that you can host your league? make sure that they allow ftp, and then find out from them what their address and everything is to connect and upload the reports to the site is. Usually i use the generate reports function and upload all the reports from my "LEAGUESITE" folder on my hard drive.

Thanks for the reply AnD1 BBaller.

I do have a website that allows FTP and I do have the information (i.e, username and password - and host address).

From the in game FTP report I have generated the report but it is not showing up on my webpage. After I run the in game FTP report would it upload the report to my home page on my site?

OR using FrontPage which (or all) files do I upload? I've tried uploading the <b> index</b> file but when I open my website it says file not found.

I am very new at creating a web page and I appreciate any advice....

you can't upload any front pages like the index.html file within the game I'm pretty sure. You can only upload the game files from the game to the sever. Make sure you have everything entered right in the game, and test the connection!

Yeah, the connection was successful. After I upload the report to the FTP server where should it go after completion?

Thanks again..

let's see the progress so far on your site...What is the addy? Once you upload the report make sure you check out what the addy is for the particular file (report). If you want to use FP then put the link to the addy of the report into the hyperlink space.

You should be ableto go to the report by just simply adding the specified file link to your addy.

I believe teh path that you would need to use is (your server inf/league.htm)

Then type in the addy with that added and it should appear. At least that is the way I did it in v4.

Did you upload the league to the server?

Good luck.

AnD1 BBaller and Buckeye THANKS FOR YOUR HELP!!!

I'll try ftp.fof4browns.com when uploading the report when I go home for lunch.

I was having a problem last night testing connection... It was run the request but then it would freeze and OOTP5 was not responding.

OK.. I went home at lunch and tried to upload the report using ftp.fof4browns.com rather than www.fof4browns.com.

But I still can't bring up the www.fof4browns.com/league.htm

Any other advice?
