3105 - Changing Minor League Affiliates
I don't know if this is intended behavior or not, but if it is, I think it should be looked at. I setup a fictional league, 4 levels of minors and a few international leagues. Ran the Initial Draft, and after the draft I realized I had assigned two Rookie level teams to one franchise (Franchise A), and shorted another (Franchise B).
I went into league structure and changed the extra team for Franchise A, and assigned it to Franchise B. A couple months later, I'm digging through minor leaguers, and notice that the Rookie level team didn't just go from A to B, but so did all of the players that were assigned to the Rookie team that switched affiliations. Sort of disappointing to have a team loose 25 freshly drafted prospects. AS |

Based on posts in the General Discussions forum over the past two months, this may be a design decision.

Would be nice if there was a pop-up warning/option to automatically send players from that team to DFA before changing affiliation. Anyone who wants to model the real minor leagues will have to change affiliations from time to time, and having to DFA each player individually would be a pain (plus could cause problems for those players that are in the minor that can refuse assignment to minors).
