As a person who was completed miffed by the 2006 release, I have been very impressed with 2007 so far. The Manager home page is a excellent addition, and the facegen adds a lot to my immersion in the game. Small things like the ability to track all talent changes are sweeeet and the game is MUCH more polished. Ability to modify the frequency of talent changes was a pleasant surprise. Bravo to the development team for a job well done.

Real rosters is dependent on mod makers. It always has, it always will. SI can bring the mod makers in months ahead of time, but if they don't deliver, who is to blame?

And we have brought the roster guys, along with various other community guys, into the beta process early.

Played most of the ootp games and didn't really like ootp2006 mainly due to the historical league play. Now I've started playing historical leagues in 2007 and I must say it's very good so far. Many options, quick simming and so far the results are quite realistic.

Didn't play enought to have a final opinion, but so far I like it a lot and would buy the game again and again

They roster set is supposed to be out today and the intention was to have them out when the game released. They have put a ton of hours into the project and believe me, they want to get it out. I am patient, and expect it will be a very good set

I can't understand how this weakness survived a few patches in the 2006 edition, never mind still being unaddressed in the new one.
I completely agree with you on this, having raised it within a day of buying 2006. It is apparently being looked at as a priority in the beta forum; there seems to be some suggestion that it was infact implemented and even works for some but not others (I don't see how, but...). Hopefully to be fixed very soon; such a simple thing but a major pain.

I've not yet explored every facet of the game (which I did buy, depite misgivings, after having zero real enjoyment of 2006), but would say so far it does seem to be better. Not yet sure how much better.
