Star closer beat up by girlfriend???

I just lost my best reliever in the offseason!!

Thursday, December 7th, 2017: Off-Field Accident Sidelines Fuentes
The Las Vegas Outlaws told reporters this morning that Martín Fuentes has a fractured skull and will be unable to play for 10-11 months while the injury heals. He suffered the injury when his girlfriend beat him up.

"It was an unfortunate accident," said the Outlaws public relations director, "Hopefully Martín will soon be back with the club."

Fuentes has appeared in 764 games during his career, saving 86 of them. His record is 88-42, and he has struck out 732 in 947.2 innings while putting up a 3.12 ERA.

Hmm, is that more honorable than a guy in my historical replay breaking his ribs in the off-season attempting to give somebody a high five?

Gibson swings, and a fly ball to deep right field! This is gonna be a home run! Unbelievable! A home run for Gibson! And the Dodgers have won the game, 5 to 4; I don't believe what I just saw! I don't believe what I just saw!

I was wondering about that, too. An "unfortunate accident" that she beat him down or that he couldn't defend himself?

This is why you don't get on Greg Norman's bad side.

I had a guy who fractured his skull going nuts after being asked the same questions over and over by reporters. I wanted to fine him.

Was he pitching at the time? It would be cool to have a shark attack as an in-game injury.

Shark attacks don't happen in-game.

Teams are pretty cold when players suffer a CEI, though. Roger Clemens tore his bicep tendon and bam, next day he was gone.
