In your example, I didn't really think it was quite the same thing. His seemed like an isolated player got 2 AB. In yours, the inning just never ended...

Anyway.

I've found that if I hit 'enter' on my number pad instead of '1' during regular PbP, the play is decided immediatly; but the baserunner animations dont move if they were supposed to. Using '1' on the other hand gives perfect animation but takes a long time to finish a game.

Would it be possible in a patch to use the 'enter' key to decide the play and have the runners on their proper bases? I am not sure whether this happens on a desktop numberpad however.

Well, the "Enter = complete at-bat" is correct. Remember, there are no "animations" in OOTP - in no version will the players be seen moving from base to base.

However, by "animations," do you mean that a player advances to second in the PbP, but is still graphically shown on first base after the play is over? If so, that's definitely a bug.

One thing you could try: "space" key has the same effect as "Enter," so you could try hitting the space key to see whether that key (not on a keypad) causes the same thing to happen. I suspect it will behave in the same way.

Let me know, we'll get this figured out!

Using the keyboard on my laptop this works great. But I get these weird problems when I use my external numberpad. I cant even begin to understand why this is so because things worked perfectly with 6.0/6.5 but the gremlins began appearing with the new code in OOTP2006.

So, just to be totally sure I'm recording this correctly:

a. if you sim an at-bat by pressing Enter on your external keypad, the animations don't keep up

b. if you sim an at-bat by pressing Enter on your normal keypad, the animations work as expected.

Is this correct?

Here is one issue..using the enter button on the num pad teams dont switch from offense to defense between half innings....a screenie

I logged this (the unending inning) as TT 3085, and opened another thread for the other issue, TT 3083.
