Can you help me ????

I downloaded database and want to import some individual players into my fictional league....I get the player and see his name briefly pop up on the free agent screen BUT then the game closes and I am back at the desktop....
What am I doing wrong????

Sounds like you either have the wrong version of the game or database.

What version of the database do you have?
What version of the game?

I just bought OOTP4 month ago.....and the database I got from:

Is that right???

Do you have the database file open (perhaps trying to get the Lahman ID) while attempting to import the player?

The game will have problems importing if another application is using the database files... try writing down the Lahman ID and closing the database, then try the import.

Hi guys --

Brand new -- also trying to get the database thing.

Is the db45rev.zip I just downloaded from the tresclub site the right file for the historical site.

I tried at the BBB site a few minutes ago and couldn't get anything to happen. Is that site perhaps just extremely busy right now?

Looking forward to playing what must be a great game!

Updating.

I used the db45rev database in the OOTP4 I had just downloaded. After one misfire (didn't realize the program built in its own Stats folder!) loaded the 1934 season. Exhibition game -- Warneke beats Diz and Pop Haines 3-2.

Looking forward to getting the league up tomorrow.

And to getting online when I have some clue as to what I am doing.
