3010 - Phantom pinch runner
Just had this occur in a game. Note that Estrada is the starting catcher.

Well, now, that's a new one!
P.S. I noticed your post on the DMB forums (re: OOTP release date). Good job! I hope some of the diehards over there get off their tired old horses and hop on this new pony! |

I saw it yesterday playing out some games.
Anyone put a TT on this yet? Searches don't do diddly for me.

PbP - "Pinch runner" after an intentional walk
Has anyone else seen the PbP talk about a pinch runner after an intentional walk is given and no pinch runner is brought in?

Yes it's a bug with the program I'm sure. I've been intentionally walked a couple of times and every time afterwards it says the batter that was intentionally walked is now a pinch runner.

Thanks! I haven't had much opportunity to keep up with the boards and figured that it would be better to bring it up in case it hadn't been.

Small pbp bug
The pbp announces that the runner on first is a pinch runner every time there's an intentional walk.

That's been claimed fixed for the first patch, but hasn't been confirmed yet.

Pinch hitters are not pinch runners
I should have captured this as a screen shot when I had the chance, sorry. Next time I see it I'll append this post.
I have noticed that when playing out a game if I put a pinch hitter in and he gets on base, when the next batter is up the PbP will sometimes say "We have a pinch runner on first". No, we don't. We have a pinch hitter who got on base. cbbl |

It's likely related, or at the core the same issue, but the scenario is different. I've think I've observed that it isn't solely related to Intentional Walks. I'll have to pay closer attention. Thanks for pointing it out. cbbl |

I think this issue has cropped up a few times on the forums, in a variety of different ways - and has definitely been logged in TT (#3011)

Pinch runner error
Leach had just reach first base on a walk, then the PbP said leach was a pinch runner. I think this one has been brought up before
