Status of Logged Issues Forum

What situation applies with regard to this area?

Many have been addressed and simply haven't been moved to Closed or Fixed?

Many have been addressed and simply haven't been moved to Closed or Fixed because of release priorities? If that's the case, I'd ask respectfully why these are not priorities.

Discussion has taken place with regard to these items, but they are still pending resolution, thus we should look carefully for occurences on release?

Some mix of the above?

No further information is available on any of them?

An update would be appreciated.

i cant speak directly to your 2006 tech support issue, but i can tell you that this year *should* be better. last year there were only 3-5 people working the logged/closed/fixed routine, but this year, all the beta testers have been asked to patrol these areas and help out the "formal" tech support crew.

i know that doesnt do anything for your 2006 issues, but please dont let the former lack of follow-thru stop you from being involved in reporting bugs this time around.

I guess my contention was that given these are still in Logged Issues and not moved, were they looked at for elimination in v2007? I see your point, though. These ARE v2006 observations, but to me they served as the general forum's TT to Tech Support to, hopefully, watchdog in v2007.

lots of the bug reports here were checked in the new version and some that carried forward were logged into the 2007 bug tracking software, but by no means was there an explicit attempt made to follow up. i have no official basis for what follows, but i'll toss it out there anyway....

it appears as though responding to the 2006 forums was deemed very low priority since, like you say, it was the old version. there were very few responses, and even then, it was only when a thread was raised from the dead, but i can assure you there were lots of testers checking on things reported here. not every single one, mind you, but definitely more than a handful


BTW - im sorry i havent responded to your PM. it completely slipped my mind....until now. i have been able to confirm (3 different confirmations) that your waivers/40-man/no service time issue has been fixed
