Padres (#2 pick) select Dennis Eckersley in the '75 rookie draft. I let him develop in the minors, while the major league team started slow.
Got canned at the end of May with a 20-29 (91-120 overall) record, there goes all my work building the minors up. Now I have to wait and hope to catch on with another team in '76. I bet the Padres become a dynasty in 2 years. Too bad I won't be around to enjoy it. |
