I know fastbreak basketball it has no financial system at all. It is just simming, signing, and drafting. Their are no profits or loses just a salary cap. A game like OOT4 or STB for basketball would be awesome.

It all depends on what you value in a basketball game. In basketball the finances are not very important because of revenue sharing and the salary cap with that said FBB does plan on incorporating finances into the game very soon

NBA finances are definately different than baseball. With the addition of the luxury tax, it is now more important how much income a team can bring in. If you follow basketball rumors, there are a number of trades that don't happen mainly because they would put one team over the luxury tax threshold. In the past, that hasn't really been the case. While in baseball it was reported that maybe five teams made a profit last season. most basketball teams make a profit.

IT was ALSO reported that Enron made a profit last year... So that's not really a good measure of who's actually making money. I find it VERY HARD to believe that ANY teams are LOOSING money in baseball. And if any are it's just a couple. but I doubt that.

JDOhio, do us all a huge favor, and lose the CC Crapathia signature, because it takes up a whole damn screen, and I'm tired of looking at his ugly mug.... And by the way, what is he the future of? Overrated 21 year-old pitchers?

Very true. When I was researching basketball, looking at the size of TV contracts and other things along average ticket prices and attendance, it just doesn't seem possible that any of the teams could be losing money. A similar review of the baseball would probably show the same. The one team I might expect to lose money based on things like attendance and TV revenue would be the Expos and they don't exactly have a large payroll.

My point as far as basketball was that you didn't ever really hear that a team couldn't make a transaction due to money concerns until the luxury tax was instituted. Thus, if most teams are on a similar level as far as what they can spend, simming everything down to parking prices doesn't necessarily have much impact on the game.

Hey, C.C. Sabathia is a good pitcher. But I agree lose the pic.

Hey I don't know what's stuck up your ass but you might wanna show more respect to people you don't know. First of all this signature STAYS, there are no signature rules so DEAL WITH IT, second of all How the hell is C.C. Sabathia overated I'm not calling him the next Satchel Page or cy Young what he is , is a 21 year old pitcher who was supposed to be at AAA last year but made the jump to the bigs and won about 14 games for the Indians, So with A rotation of Bartola Colon 27 , Chuck Finley 39, Ryand Drese early 20's, Baez, and Sabathia its safe to say C.C. is a major component of the Indians present and FUTURE . You people never cease to amaze...

I'm an Indians fan and I'm excited about the PROSPECT of the future of C.C., but you're over reacting.

His comment wasn't that harsh. Your signature picture is too large. It's annoying when it's in a thread 3 or more times. There are no rules on sigs, but there always seems to be someone obnoxious enough to force a rule or two to be made.

Be happy that the tribe thinks he's the future also in that they signed him to the biggest contract ever for a rookie pitcher and take what others say with a grain of salt.

Well I guess I'm just obnoxious because I don't see my sig as a big deal, and another thing I didn't claim his comments were harsh but he set the TONE of his remarks by using profanity. let me ask you this would you be more likely to do something for someone if they A: said please do this for me or B: Do me a favor and do this damn thing......Think about It

I was impressed by CC last season, and I think the sig is annoying. You could always size it down a little.

edit- A. ppl with a dialup connection have to wait for the pic to load over and over

B. You swore too, good sir.

C. "you people never cease to amaze..." is a downright ignorant thing to say.

A. Thank you for changing your sig

B. Broad generalizations about "people" are ignorant. I will agree, though, that most of us here are amazing.
