Some Advice guys
Im in my 2nd season of manger mode. I somehow finished 71-90 last season with a mets team in which i made 1 deal.
My Starting 4: Glavine-1 star Leiter-1 star Asticho-1 star Tracshal-1 Star and they all will argee to minor league contracts, so thats not a good sign. Any advice on how i can improve my pitching? i was able to get Jeremy Gaimbi on FA's (who seems to have jason gaimbi ratings) should i move him for some good pitching spects?.. altough i do have a few spects waiting in the farms, any advice? |

Depends on how long you thing your owner will keep you. I always follow the advise that a good farm system and minimal FA's is the way to go (get good talent and keep payroll down) but if you will get fired for losing 80 games then time is not an option. Try to spread whatever money you have around on multiple FA's and yes...Giambi won't help you win all by himself so if you can get a good deal to help your team; then take it.

I made a deal to bring Kerry Wood into my first season @ Cincinatti, and it durastically improved me. I went from pathetic at the all-star break, to contender in the second half, only finishing 3 games below .500, I had teams foaming at the mouth for me at the end of the season.
