What a great idea.

Five thousand thanks for a non-modder? I never thought I'd see the day. Thank you for your support.

Wouldn't that be an incredibly difficult task?

If you have the demo (or pay for the real thing) you can take real photos and make facegens of real people

I don't think it will. I have the full face gen version and I was hoping we would be able to, but if I understood Andreas correctly the game uses only one .fg to create all the faces.

Using facegen you can render photos by importing a photo into the program and then letting it do it's work.

Here is a thread with examples.....
http://ootpdevelopments.com/board/sh...d.php?t=108543

You can still do these and place them in the game, but they won't use the new technology (age, switch teams, etc.).

You would save these as individual .fg's (if you have the full version) or .png's (if you have the demo).

I believe Deft had asked this previously in regards to moving all his "heads" over.

If there was a way to use multiple .fgs then it might be possible.

That's odd. The game must have a way of storing the individual configurations of each face it creates. Otherwise, how does it continue to know what the player looks like through uniform changes and over time? Perhaps it's saved in the players.dat file, though, and therefore inaccessible.

The individual configurations, yes. You would actually need the .fg, I believe, to use the photo.

That being said...they have already done more with this than I thought was possible...so I wouldn't put this past SI or Larry for that matter.

This is the thread I got my info from...

http://ootpdevelopments.com/board/sh...hlight=facegen

and here is the exchange between Deft and Andreas

Can I use those files for selecting a players face image? It would be real helpful for existing leagues and MLB teams with Facegen files already created.

You've got .fg files for players? Wow. Did you use Photofit to create them?
Unfortunately you cannot use multiple .fg files with OOTP. OOTP loads a base .fg file when it's being started and works with it for all faces.

Maybe I'm misreading, but Andreas seems to be saying that you can't create hair and hats separately from OOTP. I went and asked about it in the questions thread just to see. It's probably still a "can't do it" but it's something to think about for future versions.

I'm with you! Would love to see it.

And with this 3rd post in this thread I have reached my total post limit for any 3 month period.

Thank you. Goodnight.

Updated MLB and IL (AAA) examples, I have corrected some MLB caps logos and lowered a bit the chest logos, I also made Detroit and NY smaller, Pacific Coast League (AAA) will be next.

Please correct me if any uni or logo is wrong.

Not to be picky but the "C" on the Cubs hat should be a little smaller. Maybe the size of the Reds "C" or a tad smaller.

Here's a player photo from the Cubs website you can check out...

Looks great Icy, thanks for taking my suggestions in. The only thing I see is that the Cubs hat logo is too big, but besides that, and the afore mentioned Reds stripes, everything looks good.

Icy,
These are great!!! The only thing, however, is that all the uniforms are white. Is there a way we can make some of them dark (like alternative ones or away unis)? Other than that I love'em!!!!!!
