mac version

is everyone feeling good about the mac version for 2007?

I have a macbook pro and am excited to buy but am a bit nervous based on some of the reviews from last year's version.

I've been playing this game for years on pc but didn't get 2006 and am looking to get back into it ... was a bit worried but hopefully won't be a problem this year..

thoughts?

I'm not a beta tester, so haven't had my hands on 2007 yet, but I've been playing 2006 on a MacBook (not pro) for some time now, and it runs just fine. No problems.

One piece of advice that someone passed along on the forum some time ago is to disable Spotlight indexing on the OOTP folder. That makes sense, and I have done it.

I just got a ibook G4 and am trying to consider which system I should buy the game for. I'd be very curious to hear other peoples experiences with th Mac version as well...

for ootp2006....
it ran poorly on my ibook but i was light on the ram side. it ran fine on my macbook pro with 512mb of ram.

i have heard 2007 runs a lot better on a mac than 2006.

The demo of 2006 went ok for me, but I have over a gig of memory. So 2007 should run pretty smoothly...

as one of the mac beta testers, I can say that overall performance of the game has improved. I didn't own 2006 on the mac, I had the PC version, because the demo was not up to speed for me. I will be buying the mac version this year, however, because the performance is improved.

I forgot to mention that the biggest thing for me was that the FTP export for online leagues is now fixed.

I used OOTPB 2006 on my MacBook Pro with 1GB. It worked fine for the most part, but not as fast as I would have liked, especially for full league structure over the course of several seasons. I too am anxious to see if OOTPB 2007 is better, and from what I've read on most threads I won't be disappointed.
