Actually by default, that option is off. That is what happens when you select Import Complete History. You are getting the complete history imported in with all of those workhorse pitchers. Turn this off and it does not happen. I perfer to turn it off.
But under the same token, let's say you have it on and start importing in 1954, then the career leaderboard is EXACTLY the way it really was in 1954. There is just so many different ways to play the historical. It is basically unlimited with all of the different options. There will be a lot of people that were not into historical leagues, but when they give it a try this go round, they WILL be hooked.

I have a very strong feeling that I will be in this camp. I would have loved to get into historical replays in previous versions of the game but there was just way too much overhead to keep me interested. I'm really looking forward to giving the historical replays a test drive.

Also, I'd like to request Dale Murphy and Bob Horner. Thanks!

Did you have a baseball encyclopedia when you were a kid (well, you may be one now, I don't know) and you would spend hours just looking at the numbers and the players? I still keep one in my bathroom!
You set up a league that starts in 1901 and set the options the way that you like them and then start the sim and tell it to sim until 2007. Get a good nights sleep and when you woke up you will have your own encyclopedia. You will be sitting there for hours looking up players, following a players career, a franchise's history. You save all the box scores and play by plays and you can go look at them. One of the fun things I like to do (when I am not doing the serious testing, of course), is to start a sim in 1901. Pick a player that I like and bring up his page. Tell it to run the sim for one year and a minute later, when it is done, you are seeing how he did for that year. Go check his team, see how they did. Or even sim to the mid-season point and see how he is doing. Occasionally hoping in and watching a game. Follow this guys career until he retires and then pick a new guy to follow. Quote:
