The Assassins victorious in the battle for California, although the boys from LA gave a good account of themselves. I'll have to do better in week two, 'cause this match and the next one are probably the easiest ones on my schedule all season.

No doubt, an expansion team scoring 31 points against an established one is pretty good.

Dave "Boy" Green wins week 1 MVP honors by earning KO's against higher rated (albeit beginning) fighters Arturo Gatti and Thomas Damgaard.

Celestino Caballero was a very close runner up for his impressive wins against Davey Kotey and former Beaver Torpedo Billy Murphy. The final nod to Green was decided on the merits of his KO's versus Caballero's decision wins.

I noticed that Chartchai Sasakul is continuing to disappoint. I missed seeing when he got picked up in waivers but he always seemed to underperform for me.

If I'm not mistaken Matt trade Carruthers in a cap clearing move during the off-season.
