Playoffs: Custom League

In a custom league (2 * 5 team divisions, 1 league), the league setup screen shows 1 round of playoffs - but these don't get played. 40 game schedule.

I have it Jason and will look at it . Your history does not show a playoff game even though your setup is for one round of playoffs.

Will give it a good look and see what I find. I will also link this to the beta board.

Maybe you could do me a favor. Continue on to next season, play it and tell me what happens. Does the WS not show up the next season?

Ok guys. This is what I am finding. If you run a eight team major leagues. You have to split them into 2 different leagues to get a World Series.

Because they are in the same league, the game at this time is not recognizing the playoff subselection when you set it up, and thinks the season is over.

I have tested your saved game many times, and created 5 different leagues with same settings, but the four teams in 2 seperate leagues, and I get a world series each time.

Sorry guys. Make it two leagues.....and you have no problem.

I will bring this to the testers and Markus for review.

It isn't just eight team leagues; I have a fourteen team league, and also get no world series. I guess I'll restart and form two leagues.

You must have 2 leagues to have playoffs.

Steve - any technical reasons as to why files with just one league can't have playoffs? I seem to remember quite a few folks asking for one league files to be able to have playoffs after OOTP4. I thought that was going to be addressed in 5.

Just curious...
