What should I do?
What should I do, buy the game right now or wait for a patch? I think I will probably wait for a patch because I have heard a few minor complaints.

If you eventually plan on buying the game, why would you wait?

If I were you and I had the cash to spend now, I would buy it now. I don't have the game yet (waiting on my mail order info), so my opinion doesn't matter much. My thing is that if you have the game now you get the extra few weeks of playing, plus if you notice things earlier, ex. features that would fit well, it's much more likely they would be included in an earlier patch.
Those would be my reasonings if I were you... but it's really a choice you'd have to make judging on how much money you have, and wether or not getting the game earlier is important...

I agree...worth the download now....so if you have to download a patch that is no biggie....even though people are having minor problems and complaints I would have to say everyone of them is glad they downloaded it today.....

I haven't found anything that would have stopped me from buying had I know before hand.
If you have no time to play, then I would wait a little, because the d/l speed won't be very good this weekend I would imagine anyway, so if I wasn't going to play it , I might "consider" waiting. |

Yes it's worth it now. I've been having a blast. The few minor isues I've noticed should be fixed in short order. If I remember correctly didn't Markus have the first patch out for OOTP4 a couple of days after release?

Well I was all psyched up to buy it today, but decided to wait. Until some of the more serious issues are patched. Some have reported that some players are losing their skills at an earlier age in their mid to late 30's. Some have said they have seen players have a drop in skills by 2 grades at a time. To me these are serious bugs. Cause what would be the sense to continue a league you started if your players can be affected like this. Then some are complaining that they can't get the game to run correctly without full screen mode. Which has been removed from the game. I always ran the game in full screen mode. So there are issues and a lot more I've left out. That need to be resolved in a patch or two. My main concern is I have a fictional league from OOTP4 which I want to import in OOTP5. Obviously if the player algorithm is not working properly in OOTP5 yet. Then why have it mess up my Fictional League? That's why I'm willing to wait until all serious issues are fixed.

Since I dont sim on this game, I guess the issue of player development doesn't bother me as much. By the time they patch it, I won't be close to ending the this season.
