Recover disk space

I have OOTP version 6.5 and realized the program was taking over 1G of space. I had one league that I played 10 or more seasons on and realized that file was taking up the space. I deleted the file, but still the space wasn't freed up. Is there a way to shrink the database or recover space after you delete leagues?

Try rebooting your system, you also may want to run defrag.
