An idea for simming options

When I play out a game, I don't exactly play the whole game. I do what I think was once called the "Eugene Church method". Meaning I sim until the beginning of the 6th inning and start from there. But a lot of times I end up being down by 5 or more runs and lose interest in completing the game. What if there was a button for simming until you are up or down a certain amount of runs, instead of after a set amount of innings. So if you set it to jump in once your either are ahead or behind by 2 runs, you would continue the game even if it were in the middle of an inning.

This makes perfect sense to me because of the way I play games. Any other opionins on this?

FWIW, I think this is a good idea; more flexibility on the Quick-Play bar would be appreciated. Even though it seems like a lot is provided already, the options are all based on at bat or innings. Situational game simming has been proposed before, such as "Advance until RISP." Your suggestion could be incorporated along those lines, "Advance until +/- 2 runs." Don't get your hopes up, however, because I have not seen mention of this capability in any of the 2007 talk so far. Maybe I missed it.

The other option is to do what I do and sim an inning, or half-inning at a time. This way I can monitor things like score, pitch counts, etc. I will usually begin playing out the game somewhere around the 5th or 6th inning depending upon a multitude of circumstances, but I never sim more than one inning at a time.

I also liked the option of having the game let you know if the pitcher was working on a no-hitter (jinx or no jinx).
