well it's rolling around to 9am EST, 1 hour to go for some (and for some, like me, unfortunately we're at work). i'm thinking the number of users online should start increasing pretty steadily here on out

yeah my g/f has been forewarned to go hang out with her friends tonite...pick up a 12 pack of rolling rock on the way home and play til my eyes hurt from staring at the screen

I might have to stop at the store to get some peanuts too to make the evening as authentic as possible....Not quite sure my wife will like me throwing the shells on the floor but oh well....

Yea, this is great. I can't believe that it is almost a full year since OOTP4 came out.

Anyone know if OOTP5 comes with MLB players....there was some discussion last year about licensing issues.

Not to mention a point system instead of real salaries/money, be happy there's no license. I'm sure real rosters and logo packs will be available soon, and there's also the database

I take it, however, that the OOTP4 rosters/seasons can be converted for use in OOTP5??

yes you can import a career from OOTP4

Then it would flow that you can use OOTP4 roster sets with OOTP5.

You can't just place or unzip v4 rosters or leagues in the v5 directory, they must be "imported" into v5.

Ah. Once imported, you can then release all players and start a new league using that particular roster or league and dump the players to draft??

Is the game interface with respect to that very user friendly, i.e., will it be self explanatory?

It's not much different than OOTP4. Just go into your league set up and click the option to release all of the players.

No, no...I meant the importing part. I've never imported rosters/seasons in the past versions of the game.

I'm sure it will be simple.

I wonder, we should have a poll as to who will have the first Roster set out and when they'll have it.

The Import Feature is under the 'File' Menu. Click it and it will ask for the directory of the OOTP4 league. Select that, then let it go! Done!
